He enlisted in the 20th Bn, Royal Fusiliers on 19 Nov 1917
Gazetted 2nd Lieut, RFC in Sept 1917
Served on the Western Front with 27 Squadron and was accidentally killed while flying at Gosport on 23 Feb 1917
